Suppose, you have an important post which you want to be always displayed on your front page no matter how many posts you have on your site.

How to make and remove a sticky post in WordPress:
The first thing you want to do is login into your WordPress dashboard and open up one of your posts. Look at the right-hand sidebar then you will see a publish area.
Look at (Visibility: Public) and click on edit, then will expand all the options. There you will see “Stick this post to the front page” this option. Finally, you make sure you checked this option and clicked the update button to store your settings.
This option make your post sticky on the front page, and if you’d like to make sticky older posts, you have to complete the same job.
How to Remove Post from the Sticky Post:
When you no longer want that post to the sticky post, you can go to all post. From there you need to click (Sticky)
Afterward, you will see all of your sticky post that you made a sticky post. Open up the post which you no longer want to see as sticky post clicking “Quick Edit.”
Then, on the right side of the page, you will see “Tag” area. Under the tag can see an option which needs to uncheck, make sure you also clicked the update button.
